PIC was started in 1938 as a competitor to Life and LOOK magazines. It is filled with photos covering the world of sport, news and entertainment, but became more politically consicious as the War loomed on the horizon. These issues are so nice - they are almost like new.
Inside are some of the photos and articles of interest: The cover shows Joan Bennett; Gloria Dickson; Greta Garbo the untouchable; Robert Taylor - love in a river bed; Who's afraid of trust buster Thurman Arnold? Marlene Dietrich the Hellion; Adele Jergens; Tortured to amuse the sadists; Adra and her snakes; The Stephens sisters; Lou Little; Bull fighting; Decoy maker Papa Pilon; Smelly fights; ; Notorious American murders - The Reiter Case- in St. John Kansas.
